The Meta Quest 3 has been out for about a week now — and it's pretty great actually.
Quest users now have access to an unparalleled mixed-reality experience. And this also means the most obnoxious tech bro you know will ruin the fun for everyone and bring the Quest 3 with them out in public.
Social media is slowly piling up with examples of people The Verge has dubbed "Meta glassholes," — and the videos are weird to say the least. That's because the Quest 3 has a full-color passthrough, meaning users can see their entire surroundings while wearing the headset. Comparatively, its predecessor had a muddled black-and-white passthrough mode, which didn't make it very fun to use.
Because of this upgrade, the Quest 3's AR potential has exponentially expanded to a now annoying extent.
While there's nothing wrongwith, say, ordering coffee or painting in the park with your Quest 3 headset, it does seem like an extreme example of doing something for the sake of doing it —and not because it's actually useful.
That being said, for your entertainment, we've scoured the internet for our favorite and most bizarreexamples of Quest 3 users out in the wild doing mundane tasks they could've done withouta $500 headset.
