The red carpet will go black at this year's Golden Globes – and it's not stopping with the women.
Weeks ago, we learned that many actresses planned to wear black to this year's ceremony, as a sign of protest against the industry's sexual abuse epidemic. As it turns out, though, men will be making a statement as well.

Johnson replied to the post with a simple "Yes we will," and other stylists, including Karla Welch, responded with messages of support.
The all-black movement remains a suggestion, not a rule. There's nothing to stop anyone from wearing whatever color they damn well please to the Globes. But with so many A-list celebs on board, the pressure's on.
That being said, lots of male participants may not even notice a difference. The classic black tux has always been a red-carpet staple. Protest or no, it was always a safe bet that tonsof dudes would show up in black.
Still, it's nice of these guys to put on a show of support, we guess. That is, as long as this isn't justa show of support.
A sea of black will make for striking photos, and if anyone knows how to use dramatic imagery to send a message, it's Hollywood. But as the past few months have shown, appearances can be deceiving. A glamorous facade can cover up a whole lot of rot.
In other words, this is an appealing start – but if the industry is serious about institutional change, it's gonna take a whole lot more than some black suits and dresses to make that happen.
