UPDATE: Nov. 8, 2016, 2:05 p.m. EST Added Clark County statement.
Before the polls even opened Tuesday, Donald Trump filed his first election lawsuit.
Lawyers for the Republican presidential candidate on Monday night filed a lawsuit alleging Clark County, Nevada kept polling places open "two hours beyond the designated closing time" during early voting.
SEE ALSO: A ridiculous live blog for a ridiculous electionThe polling places named in the suit are outside of Las Vegas and have a higher proportion of minority voters than the city, CNN reported.
A lawsuit like this could delay some votes from being counted. Trump lawyers asked for the ballots in question not to be "co-mingled or interspersed" with other ballots, CNN said.

A county spokesperson told CNN that the Nevada polling places in question allowed voters who were already in line at closing time to cast their votes.
The Trump lawsuit asked for relief in the case that "the election of presidential electors from the state of Nevada is contested.”
Clark County downplayed the move by the Trump campaign, claiming that it had only been asked to retain its early voting records — which it already does.
